How it works

1. Cast Cursed Mirror by paying 2, choosing to have it enter the battlefield a copy of Mirror-Mad Phantasm until end of turn.
2. Activate Cursed Mirror by paying 1, shuffling Cursed Mirror into your library and milling your entire library due to it not having a card named Mirror-Mad Phantasm in it.

This clever loop turns Cursed Mirror's flexible cloning ability into a catastrophic self-mill engine. Because Cursed Mirror enters the battlefield as a copy of Mirror-Mad Phantasm, it inherits that creature's bizarre activated ability while retaining its own identity. When you pay to activate that ability, Cursed Mirror attempts to shuffle itself away and reveal cards until it finds a card with its own namesake—which, crucially, does not exist in your deck. As a result, your entire library is unceremoniously dumped straight into your graveyard, setting up massive graveyard synergies in formats like Commander, Legacy, Modern, Oathbreaker, and Vintage.
