How it works

1. Activate Kelpie Guide by tapping it, targeting North Pole Patrol.
2. Kelpie Guide triggers, causing you to loot.
3. Resolve the Kelpie Guide ability, untapping North Pole Patrol.
4. Activate North Pole Patrol by tapping it, targeting Kelpie Guide.
5. North Pole Patrol triggers, causing you to loot.
6. Resolve the North Pole Patrol ability, untapping Kelpie Guide.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop turns two untappers into a perpetual motion machine fueled by Unctus, Grand Metatect. Since Unctus grants all other blue creatures the ability to draw and discard a card whenever they become tapped, simply activating Kelpie Guide and North Pole Patrol to untap each other triggers a continuous cycle of looting. Because both creatures are blue artifacts—either natively or through the Grand Metatect's own type-changing magic—every tap to pay an untap cost immediately feeds you fresh cards while discarding extras. It is a wonderfully self-sustaining engine that lets you cycle through your entire deck at will.
