How it works

1. Activate Goblin Bombardment by sacrificing Kitchen Finks.
2. When Kitchen Finks dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. Thran Vigil and Kitchen Finks trigger.
4. Resolve the Thran Vigil trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on Kitchen Finks.
5. Resolve the Kitchen Finks trigger, causing you to gain 2 life
6. Resolve the Goblin Bombardment ability
7. Repeat.

This brilliant loop turns the resilient Kitchen Finks into an infinite engine of life and damage by constantly exploiting its persist ability. Each time you sacrifice the Finks to Goblin Bombardment, it returns to the battlefield with a dreaded -1/-1 counter, but the moment it leaves your graveyard, Thran Vigil's passive trigger steps in to save the day by placing a +1/+1 counter on it. Because Magic's state-based actions cause +1/+1 and -1/-1 counters to annihilate each other, Kitchen Finks is miraculously cleansed of its counters and left completely fresh to be sacrificed all over again.
