How it works

1. Activate Carrion Feeder by sacrificing Kitchen Finks.
2. When Kitchen Finks dies, its persist ability triggers, returning Kitchen Finks from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Kitchen Finks enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to gain 2 life.
4. Spider-Man triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Kitchen Finks.
5. Resolve the Carrion Feeder ability.
6. Repeat.

This elegant loop relies on the constant recycling of Kitchen Finks, which uses its persist ability to return to the battlefield whenever it dies, provided it has no -1/-1 counters. Carrion Feeder acts as the engine, providing a free and instant outlet to sacrifice Kitchen Finks over and over again. Every time Kitchen Finks re-enters, it triggers a 2-life gain, which in turn causes Spider-Man, Peter Parker to trigger and place a +1/+1 counter on a creature. Because +1/+1 and -1/-1 counters cancel each other out as a state-based action, Kitchen Finks is cleared of its negative counter, resetting its persist ability so the entire sequence can repeat indefinitely for boundless sacrifices, lifegain, and counters.
