How it works

1. Activate Thermopod by sacrificing Kitchen Finks.
2. When Kitchen Finks dies, its persist ability triggers, returning Kitchen Finks from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Kitchen Finks enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to gain 2 life.
4. Archangel of Thune triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control.
5. Repeat.

This clever engine turns a simple loop of life and death into an unstoppable wave of power, legal in formats from Modern to Commander. By feeding Kitchen Finks into Thermopod, you sacrifice the creature for red mana while triggering its persist ability to bring it right back with a -1/-1 counter. That entrance immediately gains you 2 life, waking up Archangel of Thune's powerful static ability to place a +1/+1 counter on every creature you control. Because the incoming +1/+1 counter immediately neutralizes the existing -1/-1 counter through state-based actions, Kitchen Finks is cleared to persist again and again, generating infinite red mana, infinite lifegain, and infinitely massive armies.
