How it works

1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Kitchen Finks.
2. When Kitchen Finks dies, its persist ability triggers, returning Kitchen Finks from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Kitchen Finks enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to gain 2 life.
4. Spider-Man triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Kitchen Finks.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop centers around sacrificing Kitchen Finks to Phyrexian Altar to generate a steady stream of colored mana and death triggers. Because Kitchen Finks features persist, it returns to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter, but Spider-Man, Peter Parker elegantly offsets this drawback by granting a +1/+1 counter whenever you gain life from the entering creature. These two opposing counters cancel each other out through state-based actions, leaving the Finks completely clean of counters and ready to be sacrificed over and over again.
