How it works
- Activate Devoted Druid's first ability by tapping it, adding .
- Activate a basic Mountain by tapping it, adding .
- Activate Earthcraft by tapping Barrenton Medic, untapping the Mountain.
- Activate Agatha of the Vile Cauldron by paying at most , giving all other creatures you control +1/+1, trample and haste until end of turn.
- Activate Devoted Druid and Barrenton Medic's second abilities by putting a -1/-1 counter on them, untapping them.
- Repeat.
This engine transforms simple untap mechanics into an overwhelming cascade of mana and stats by combining Agatha of the Vile Cauldron with the clever mana-fixing of Earthcraft. Earthcraft lets you tap your creatures to untap basic lands for color-fixing, while Agatha of the Vile Cauldron uses her power to reduce the mana cost of activated abilities—helping to facilitate the loop. At the heart of the machinery, Devoted Druid taps for mana and untaps itself using its own -1/-1 counter ability, while Barrenton Medic joins the untap cycle in a similar fashion to keep the loop self-sustaining.
