How it works

1. Activate Steelswarm Operator's second ability by tapping it, adding that can only be spent to activate abilities of artifacts.
2. Activate Filigree Sages by paying , untapping Steelswarm Operator.
3. Repeat.

This delightful loop relies on reducing the activation costs of your creatures to generate a surplus of blue mana. With Agatha of the Vile Cauldron boosting her own power to discount creature abilities, Filigree Sages' untap ability becomes cheap enough to fund entirely through Steelswarm Operator's specialized mana production. Tapping Steelswarm Operator yields two blue mana restricted to artifact abilities, which is more than enough to pay for the discounted Filigree Sages to untap the Operator and repeat the process indefinitely.
