How it works

1. Cast Cyberdrive Awakener by paying 5.
2. When Cyberdrive Awakener enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing each noncreature artifact you control to become a 4/4 artifact creature until end of turn.
3. Activate Basalt Monolith's first ability by tapping it, adding CCC.
4. Activate Basalt Monolith's last ability by paying at most 2, untapping it.
5. Repeat from step 3.

This loop turns a simple mana rock into an infinite colorless engine by cleverly altering its activation cost.
