Infinite colorless mana

How it works

  1. At the beginning of your combat phase, Mishra triggers, creating a token copy of Basalt Monolith that is a 4/4 Construct with haste named Mishra's Warform.
  2. Activate Mishra's Warform's first ability by tapping it, adding CCC.
  3. Activate Mishra's Warform's last ability by paying at most 2, untapping it.
  4. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop transforms a humble artifact into a self-contained mana engine by bridging text-box rules with type-changing magic. Mishra, Eminent One sets the stage by turning a tapped-out Basalt Monolith into a dynamic Mishra's Warform token during combat—a copy that retains the original's tap-for-three ability while inheriting a creature type and a cheaper untap cost thanks to Agatha of the Vile Cauldron. Because Agatha's power discounts creature activated abilities, the cost to untap the Warform drops so low that tapping it for three colorless mana leaves you with a net profit every single cycle. You can repeat this dance endlessly to flood your pool with infinite colorless mana, all because Mishra and Agatha unlocked a loophole in the Monolith's heavy mechanics.
