How it works

1. During your upkeep, activate Nim Devourer by paying , returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield, and then sacrificing it.
2. When Nim Devourer dies, Pitiless Plunderer triggers, creating two Treasure tokens.
3. Activate the Treasures by tapping and sacrificing them, adding .
4. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the graveyard-bound Nim Devourer into a self-sustaining engine by utilizing Pitiless Plunderer to translate its required sacrifice into a pair of Treasures. Because Jolene, the Plunder Queen is here to act as a brilliant multiplier, each death yields two Treasure tokens instead of one, perfectly covering the black mana needed to activate the Devourer again during your upkeep.
