How it works
If Grim Poppet has any -1/-1 counters on it, activate it by removing a -1/-1 counter from it.
Repeat step 1 as necessary until Grim Poppet has no -1/-1 counters on it.
Activate Sarcatog by sacrificing Grim Poppet.
When Grim Poppet dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
Resolve the Sarcatog ability.
Repeat.
Resolve all Grim Poppet abilities, putting infinite -1/-1 counters on any number of creatures.
This loop hinges on the clever synergy between Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn // Isilu, Carrier of Twilight and Grim Poppet, turning the puppet's own counters into a deadly engine. While Isilu grants persist to your nontoken creatures—bringing Grim Poppet back to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter whenever it dies—Grim Poppet’s activated ability lets you strip away those very counters to target opposing creatures. You then use Sarcatog to sacrifice the exhausted puppet, resetting its persist trigger so it returns fresh and ready to repeat the cycle. This creates an endless loop of sacrifice and rebirth that can flood the board with triggers while wiping out every opposing creature in sight.
