How it works
- Cast Technomancer by paying 5.
- When Technomancer enters, it triggers, causing you to mill three cards and return Phyrexian Metamorph from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Technomancer.
- When Phyrexian Metamorph enters, it triggers. Holding priority, activate Sarcatog by sacrificing Phyrexian Metamorph.
- Resolve the Phyrexian Metamorph trigger, causing you to mill three cards and return Phyrexian Metamorph from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Technomancer.
- Repeat from step 3.
This clever loop turns Technomancer and a copy-capable clone into an infinite recursion engine by exploiting how clone-type creatures handle entering the battlefield. When Technomancer hits the table, its enter-the-battlefield trigger pulls Phyrexian Metamorph right back out of the graveyard as a fresh copy of the original wizard, which in turn triggers its own resurrection effect. By sacrificing the cloning imposter to Sarcatog in response to its own trigger, you feed the grave-snacking beast while letting the stack resolve cleanly to loop the process indefinitely.
