How it works

1. Activate Sarcatog by sacrificing Tatterkite
2. When Tatterkite dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield without a -1/-1 counter on it due to its static effect.
3. Resolve the Sarcatog ability.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on Isilu, Carrier of Twilight granting its persist ability to your other nontoken creatures, while Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn provides a solid convoke-based foundation for your creature spells beforehand. Sarcatog acts as the engine by happily devouring Tatterkite as a sacrifice outlet. Because Tatterkite's static ability prevents counters from being placed on it, it completely bypasses the drawback of persist, allowing it to return to the battlefield unscathed and ready to be sacrificed all over again.
