How it works

1. Cast Quantum Misalignment by paying its mana cost, creating a token copy of Lonis that isn't legendary.
2. Activate Sarcatog by sacrificing a Clue.
3. Lonis and the Lonis token's second abilities trigger.
4. Resolve the nontoken Lonis trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on the token Lonis.
5. The token Lonis's first ability triggers, creating a Clue artifact token.
6. Resolve the token Lonis's trigger from step 2, putting a +1/+1 counter on the nontoken Lonis.
7. The nontoken Lonis's first ability triggers, creating a Clue artifact token.
8. Resolve the Sarcatog ability.
9. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop transforms a single sacrifice into an escalating cascade of Clues and counters by exploiting the interaction between a pair of legendary investigators. With a copy of Lonis, Genetics Expert on the field thanks to Quantum Misalignment, sacrificing a single artifact to Sarcatog triggers both Lonis and its double to investigate; each Clue creation feeds back into the other's triggered ability to distribute +1/+1 counters.
