How it works
Cast Capture of Jingzhou by paying its mana cost, causing you to take an extra turn after this one.
Cast Ephemerate by paying , blinking The Immortal Weapons and exiling Ephemerate.
When The Immortal Weapons enters, it triggers, returning Capture of Jingzhou from your graveyard to your hand.
Move to your next turn. At the beginning of your upkeep, Ephemerate's rebound ability triggers, causing you to cast it from exile without paying its mana cost.
Resolve Ephemerate, blinking The Immortal Weapons.
When The Immortal Weapons enters, it triggers, returning Ephemerate from your graveyard to your hand.
Repeat.
This clever loop locks down the game by recycling your most powerful spells through continuous blinking. When you cast Capture of Jingzhou to seize an extra turn, you set the stage for Ephemerate to continuously reset the battlefield. As Ephemerate resolves and returns The Immortal Weapons, its enter-the-battlefield ability triggers to fish Capture of Jingzhou right back out of your graveyard. Thanks to Ephemerate's rebound ability, you can cast it for free on your subsequent upkeeps to repeat the process indefinitely—while The Immortal Weapons's passive buff even quietly pumps up your creatures whenever you cast those noncreature spells.
