How it works

  1. Cast Temporal Manipulation by paying its mana cost, causing you to take an extra turn after this one.
  2. Cast Ephemerate by paying W mana, blinking Revolutionist and exiling Ephemerate.
  3. When Revolutionist enters, it triggers, returning Temporal Manipulation from your graveyard to your hand.
  4. Move to your next turn. At the beginning of your upkeep, Ephemerate's rebound ability triggers, causing you to cast it from exile without paying its mana cost.
  5. Resolve Ephemerate, blinking Revolutionist.
  6. When Revolutionist enters, it triggers, returning Ephemerate from your graveyard to your hand.
  7. Repeat.

This elegant engine chains together infinite turns by recycling your best spells through repeated blinking. You kick things off by casting Temporal Manipulation to buy yourself an extra turn, while Ephemerate handles the logistics of resetting your board. Every time Ephemerate blinks Revolutionist, the bird wizard's entrance trigger plucks an instant or sorcery right back out of your graveyard—first grabbing your extra turn spell, and later retrieving Ephemerate itself via its rebound ability.
