How it works

  1. At the beginning of your combat phase, Ayara triggers, returning Combat Celebrant from your graveyard to the battlefield and giving it haste.
  2. Declare Combat Celebrant as an attacker, choosing to exert it as it attacks.
  3. Combat Celebrant triggers, untapping all other creatures you control and causing you to get an additional combat phase after this one.
  4. Activate Carrion Feeder by sacrificing Combat Celebrant, putting a +1/+1 counter on Carrion Feeder.
  5. Repeat each combat phase.

This elegant little loop turns the graveyard into a revolving door for extra combat steps, anchored by the rhythmic resurrection of Combat Celebrant from the graveyard at the start of combat thanks to Ayara, Widow of the Realm // Ayara, Furnace Queen. Once Combat Celebrant charges into battle and exerts itself to grant an extra combat phase, Carrion Feeder steps in to sacrifice the warrior before the end step can banish it, growing ever larger with a fresh +1/+1 counter in the process. Because Ayara's combat trigger resets this cycle anew on each additional combat phase, you get an infinite engine of attacks, triggers, and sacrifices without ever letting the Celebrant stay dead for long.
