How it works

1. At the beginning of your combat phase, Ayara triggers, returning Combat Celebrant from your graveyard to the battlefield and giving it haste.
2. Declare Combat Celebrant as an attacker, choosing to exert it as it attacks.
3. Combat Celebrant triggers, untapping all other creatures you control and causing you to get an additional combat phase after this one.
4. Activate Yahenni by sacrificing Combat Celebrant, giving Yahenni indestructible until end of turn.
5. Repeat each combat phase.

This brilliant loop hinges on Ayara, Widow of the Realm bringing back Combat Celebrant from your graveyard with haste at the start of combat, immediately setting you up to declare an attack and exert it. When Combat Celebrant triggers to untap your other creatures and grant you an extra combat phase, you can safely sacrifice it to Yahenni, Undying Partisan's ability—not only dodging the creature's restriction to untap on your next step, but also feeding Yahenni a +1/+1 counter and granting it indestructible. Because Ayara's recursive trigger fires at the beginning of *each* combat, you can repeat this cycle indefinitely across endless additional combat phases, turning your graveyard into a perpetual engine of war.
