How it works

1. Activate Goblin Bombardment by sacrificing Wingrattle Scarecrow
2. When Wingrattle Scarecrow dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Wingrattle Scarecrow enters, Sigil Captain triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Wingrattle Scarecrow
4. Resolve the Goblin Bombardment ability.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop transforms Wingrattle Scarecrow into an infinite ammunition supply by playing on the math of counters. Because you control the necessary color combination to grant the Scarecrow its persist ability, sending it to the graveyard with Goblin Bombardment triggers its return to the battlefield with a single -1/-1 counter. Enter Sigil Captain, whose passive buff immediately steps in to neutralize that penalty: when the 1/1 Scarecrow re-enters, the Captain places two +1/+1 counters on it, which promptly annihilate the -1/-1 counter through state-based actions. This leaves the Scarecrow pristine and ready to be sacrificed all over again for endless damage.
