How it works

1. Activate Thermopod by sacrificing Wingrattle Scarecrow
2. When Wingrattle Scarecrow dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Wingrattle Scarecrow enters, Stalwart Successor triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Wingrattle Scarecrow
4. Repeat.

This ingenious loop revolves around the synergy between Wingrattle Scarecrow and Stalwart Successor, where the Scarecrow's persist ability returns it to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter, which immediately triggers the Successor to place a +1/+1 counter on it.
