How it works

1. Activate Gilder Bairn by tapping it, adding G/U.
2. Activate Gilder Bairn by paying G/U and untapping it, doubling each counter on target permanent.
3. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Gilder Bairn into an exponential powerhouse by letting it double its own workload. Thanks to Training Grounds, the steep cost of Gilder Bairn's untap ability is slashed down to just a single mana, which is easily paid by tapping the creature itself for mana once it's enchanted with Karametra's Favor. With every activation feeding right back into the next, Gilder Bairn endlessly doubles every counter on whatever permanent you choose without ever needing outside help.
