How it works

1. Activate Ghave's first ability by paying 1 and removing a +1/+1 counter from a creature you control, creating a 1/1 Saproling creature token.
2. When the Saproling enters the battlefield, Tribute to the World Tree triggers, putting two +1/+1 counters on the Saproling.
3. Activate Ghave's first ability by paying 1 and removing a +1/+1 counter from a creature you control.
4. Holding priority, activate Utopia Mycon's second ability by sacrificing the Saproling, adding 1.
5. Resolve the Ghave ability, creating a 1/1 Saproling creature token.
6. Repeat from step 2.

This ingenious loop turns Ghave, Guru of Spores into a self-sustaining engine by cycling counters and tokens for a single mana. As each newly generated 1/1 Saproling enters the battlefield, Tribute to the World Tree’s passive ability immediately bolsters it with two +1/+1 counters, replenishing the exact resource Ghave needs to pay for his token-creation ability. When you need to adjust your mana or feed the cycle, Utopia Mycon steps in to sacrifice those Saprolings for mana while its own token-producing abilities provide alternate avenues to kickstart the engine.
