How it works

1. Activate Bloodflow Connoisseur by sacrificing Persistent Constrictor.
2. When Persistent Constrictor dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. Thran Vigil triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Persistent Constrictor.
4. Resolve the Bloodflow Connoisseur ability.
5. Repeat.

By sacrificing Persistent Constrictor to Bloodflow Connoisseur, you trigger the creature's persist ability to bring it right back to the battlefield carrying a -1/-1 counter. This departure from the graveyard immediately satisfies Thran Vigil, allowing you to slap a +1/+1 counter onto a creature you control—which neatly cancels out the persist counter due to state-based actions. Because Bloodflow Connoisseur acts as the reliable engine to send Persistent Constrictor back to the graveyard, this loop can be repeated indefinitely to generate boundless power, triggers, and counters.
