How it works

1. Activate Bartolomé del Presidio by sacrificing Rendclaw Trow.
2. When Rendclaw Trow dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. Thran Vigil triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Rendclaw Trow.
4. Resolve the Bartolomé del Presidio ability.
5. Repeat.

This ingenious loop turns a classic persistence mechanic into an engine of endless growth. When you use Bartolomé del Presidio to sacrifice Rendclaw Trow, the Trow's persist ability brings it right back to the battlefield, but the crucial interaction happens in the graveyard: leaving the yard triggers Thran Vigil to place a +1/+1 counter on a creature. Because Rendclaw Trow enters with a -1/-1 counter from persist, that newly placed +1/+1 counter immediately neutralizes it via state-based actions, leaving the Trow completely clean and ready to be sacrificed all over again.
