How it works

1. Activate Goblin Bombardment by sacrificing River Kelpie.
2. When River Kelpie dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. Thran Vigil and River Kelpie trigger.
4. Resolve the Thran Vigil trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on River Kelpie.
5. Resolve the River Kelpie trigger, causing you to draw a card.
6. Resolve the Goblin Bombardment ability
7. Repeat.

This clever loop uses Goblin Bombardment as the engine, sending River Kelpie to the graveyard where its persist ability brings it right back to the battlefield. The real magic happens through the supporting cast: as River Kelpie leaves the graveyard, Thran Vigil steps in to place a +1/+1 counter on it, which instantly cancels out the persist -1/-1 counter so the whole cycle can happen again. Meanwhile, River Kelpie's own trigger rewards you with a card draw every single time it enters from the graveyard, turning an endless loop of sacrifice and rebirth into a devastating finisher.
