How it works

1. Activate Carrion Feeder by sacrificing Riftsweeper.
2. Riftsweeper dies, triggering Verdant Succession and Myrkul.
3. Resolve the Myrkul trigger, causing you to exile Riftsweeper and create a token copy of Riftsweeper that is an enchantment and loses all other card types.
4. The Riftsweeper token enters the battlefield, shuffling the nontoken Riftsweeper into your library from exile.
5. Resolve the Verdant Succession trigger from step 2, searching your library for Riftsweeper and putting it onto the battlefield.
6. Riftsweeper enters the battlefield, shuffling any exiled card into its owner's library.
7. Resolve the Carrion Feeder ability from step 1, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
8. Repeat.

This loop relies on an ingenious recycling engine anchored by Myrkul, Lord of Bones, which turns your dying nontoken creatures into permanent enchantments that retain their abilities. When you use Carrion Feeder to sacrifice Riftsweeper, Myrkul intercepts the death by exiling it to forge an enchantment copy of Riftsweeper. That very token triggers its own enters-the-battlefield ability to rescue the original Riftsweeper card from exile and shuffle it right back into your library, perfectly setting up Verdant Succession to instantly pluck that same Riftsweeper back out onto the battlefield. As Riftsweeper returns, it loops the process by letting you target any exiled card, while Carrion Feeder grows infinitely large on endless sacrifices.
