How it works

1. Cast Deep Forest Hermit by paying 3.
2. When Deep Forest Hermit enters the battlefield, it triggers, creating eight 1/1 Squirrel creature tokens.
3. Activate Phyrexian Altar seven times by sacrificing seven Squirrels, adding 4.
4. Activate Temur Sabertooth by paying 1, returning Deep Forest Hermit to your hand from the battlefield.
5. Repeat.

This delightful loop relies on Deep Forest Hermit entering the battlefield with a little extra help from Anointed Procession, which doubles your incoming furry army into eight Squirrel tokens instead of four. With that massive influx of fodder, you can feed seven of them to Phyrexian Altar to generate plenty of mana—enough to easily cover the cost of Temur Sabertooth's ability. Temur Sabertooth then bounces the Hermit right back to your hand, allowing you to replay it, refresh the Vanishing timers, and repeat the whole cycle for boundless mana, tokens, and sacrifices.
