How it works

  1. Activate Ramos by removing five +1/+1 counters from it, adding W manaW manaU manaU manaB manaB manaR manaR manaG manaG mana.
  2. Activate Solar Array by tapping it, adding 1 and causing the next artifact spell you cast to gain sunburst.
  3. Activate Filigree Sages by paying 2U mana, untapping Solar Array.
  4. Activate Temur Sabertooth by paying 1G mana, returning Ramos from the battlefield to your hand.
  5. Cast Ramos by paying 1W manaU manaB manaR manaG mana.
  6. Solar Array triggers, giving Ramos sunburst, which will cause it to enter the battlefield with five +1/+1 counters.
  7. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on continuously bouncing and recasting Ramos, Dragon Engine, using its massive color-producing ability—supplemented by the mana-fixing tap of Solar Array—to pay for everything. While Temur Sabertooth handles the heavy lifting of returning Ramos to your hand for reuse, Filigree Sages steps in to untap Solar Array repeatedly so you can keep feeding its sunburst bonus to the dragon. Because Ramos enters the battlefield with five +1/+1 counters thanks to Solar Array granting it sunburst, you immediately have the exact currency required to reactivate Ramos, Dragon Engine and sustain this magnificent engine indefinitely.
