How it works

1. Activate Squandered Resources by sacrificing a land, adding one mana of any color that land could produce.
2. Repeat step 1 until you have at least 4 available and/or you control no other mana-producing lands.
3. Activate Aftermath Analyst by paying 3 and sacrificing it, returning all land cards from your graveyard to the battlefield tapped.
4. When the lands enter the battlefield, Maja triggers that many times, creating that many creature tokens.
5. Activate Chthonian Nightmare by paying EE, sacrificing a creature and returning Chthonian Nightmare from the battlefield to your hand, returning Aftermath Analyst from your graveyard to the battlefield.
6. When Aftermath Analyst enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to mill three cards.
7. Cast Chthonian Nightmare by paying 1.
8. When Chthonian Nightmare enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to get EEE.
9. Repeat.

This ingenious loop turns your graveyard into a bottomless well of mana and bodies by cycling Aftermath Analyst back and forth with Chthonian Nightmare. You begin by grinding away your lands for quick mana using Squandered Resources, fueling the loop's expenses while feeding the graveyard. When you sacrifice Aftermath Analyst to bring back your lands, Maja, Bretagard Protector rewards every single landfall trigger by spawning an army of tokens. Those fresh tokens act as the necessary sacrifices to replay Chthonian Nightmare and trigger Aftermath Analyst all over again, generating an endless cascade of energy, mana, and self-mill.
