How it works

1. Activate Zameck Guildmage's first ability by paying .
2. Activate Bartolomé del Presidio by sacrificing the persist creature.
3. When the persist creature dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield without a -1/-1 counter on it due to Zameck Guildmage.
4. Resolve the Bartolomé del Presidio ability.
5. Repeat from step 2.

To pull off this engine, you first prime the board by activating Zameck Guildmage's first ability so that your creatures enter with an extra +1/+1 counter, which completely negates the traditional drawback of a persist creature's return. You then feed that persist creature to Bartolomé del Presidio, triggering its sacrifice ability to grow larger while sending the creature to the graveyard. From there, the creature's persist ability brings it right back to the battlefield, ready to be sacrificed all over again in an endless loop that generates infinite deaths, enters-the-battlefield triggers, and massive growth for Bartolomé del Presidio.
