How it works

1. Activate Bloodflow Connoisseur by sacrificing Golgari Thug.
2. When Golgari Thug dies, it and Vein Ripper trigger.
3. Resolve the Golgari Thug trigger, putting it from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Vein Ripper trigger, causing you to gain 2 life and target opponent to lose 2 life.
5. Resolve the Bloodflow Connoisseur ability.
6. Cast Golgari Thug from the top of your library by paying 2 life.
7. Repeat.

This relentless loop turns the top of your library into an endless cycle of sacrifice and rebirth, fueled entirely by life instead of mana thanks to Bolas's Citadel. By sacrificing Golgari Thug to Bloodflow Connoisseur, you pump the Connoisseur while triggering Golgari Thug's ability to immediately place itself back on top of your library. From there, Bolas's Citadel lets you recast the creature by paying life rather than its mana cost, allowing you to feed the loop continuously. Meanwhile, Vein Ripper watches every creature die and drains your opponents while padding your life total to sustain the Citadel's toll.
