How it works

1. Cast Tormod's Crypt either from your hand by paying 0 or from the top of your library by paying 0 life.
2. Showdown of the Skalds triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Arcbound Reclaimer.
3. Activate Tormod's Crypt by tapping and sacrificing it.
4. Activate Arcbound Reclaimer by removing a +1/+1 counter from it, putting Tormod's Crypt from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
5. Repeat.

This ingenious loop harnesses Bolas's Citadel to cast Tormod's Crypt from the top of your library for free, bypassing traditional mana costs by paying life instead. Each time you cast the artifact, Showdown of the Skalds triggers its second and third chapters to supply Arcbound Reclaimer with the precise +1/+1 counters it needs. The Reclaimer then uses those counters to continuously recycle Tormod's Crypt right back onto the top of your library, creating a self-sustaining engine of endless artifact casts, sacrifices, and creature growth.
