How it works

1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Haywire Mite.
2. When Haywire Mite dies, it and Mortuary triggers.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Haywire Mite from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Haywire Mite trigger, causing you to gain 2 life
5. Cast Haywire Mite from the top of your library by paying 1 life due to Bolas's Citadel.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop transforms a humble bug into an unstoppable engine by turning life into a resource and back again. By using Phyrexian Altar to sacrifice Haywire Mite, you generate a mana while triggering Mortuary, which neatly recycles the Mite straight to the top of your library. From there, Bolas's Citadel allows you to recast the Mite from the top of your library for a mere 1 life instead of its mana cost. The life paid is instantly offset because the death of Haywire Mite also gains you 2 life, netting you positive life, endless colored mana, and an infinite storm count along the way!
