How it works

1. Activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing Haywire Mite.
2. When Haywire Mite dies, it and Mortuary triggers.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Haywire Mite from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Haywire Mite trigger, causing you to gain 2 life
5. Resolve the Umbral Collar Zealot ability.
6. Cast Haywire Mite from the top of your library by paying 1 life due to Bolas's Citadel.
7. Repeat.

This engine turns a modest artifact bug into an endless life-gaining loop by leveraging the top of your library as a recurring resource. While Bolas's Citadel allows you to cast spells directly from the library by paying life instead of mana, Haywire Mite provides the critical lifegain needed to offset that cost every time it dies and triggers its own ability. Meanwhile, Mortuary intercepts any creature hitting your graveyard and conveniently tucks it right back onto the top of your library, perfectly positioned for the Citadel.
