How it works

1. Activate Thermopod by sacrificing Ornithopter
2. When Ornithopter dies, Mortuary triggers, putting Ornithopter from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
3. Cast Ornithopter from the top of your library by paying 0 life.
4. Repeat.

This loop turns a humble zero-mana artifact into an infinite engine by leveraging some clever zone manipulation and life payment. Thermopod acts as your primary sacrifice outlet, turning creatures into red mana while its snow-activation and haste-granting abilities sit ready. Meanwhile, Bolas's Citadel allows you to play that top card directly from your library, bypassing mana costs entirely by paying life instead—which is essentially free when casting Ornithopter since its mana value is zero. As Ornithopter goes to the graveyard, Mortuary instantly intercepts it and tucks it right back onto the top of your library, setting you up to recast it immediately and repeat the cycle endlessly.
