How it works

1. Activate Fanatical Firebrand by tapping and sacrificing it.
2. When Fanatical Firebrand dies, Mortuary and Relic Vial trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Fanatical Firebrand from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Relic Vial trigger, causing you to gain 1 life and each opponent to lose 1 life.
5. Resolve the Fanatical Firebrand ability.
6. Cast Fanatical Firebrand from the top of your library by paying 1 life.
7. Repeat.

This delightfully morbid loop transforms the top of your library into a repeating armory using Bolas's Citadel to bypass mana costs with life instead. Fanatical Firebrand acts as the expendable ammunition, letting you sacrifice it to ping any target and immediately trigger Relic Vial's drain effect thanks to its passive life-swing ability. Meanwhile, Mortuary intercepts the goblin pirate as it hits the graveyard, neatly tucking it right back onto the top of your library so you can cast it all over again.
