How it works

1. Activate Tinder Wall by sacrificing it.
2. When Tinder Wall dies, Mortuary and Overgrowth Elemental trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Tinder Wall from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Overgrowth Elemental trigger, causing you to gain 1 life
5. Cast Tinder Wall from the top of your library by paying 1 life.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the self-sacrifice of Tinder Wall into a self-sustaining engine by leveraging Bolas's Citadel to cast spells directly from the top of your library for a mere payment of life. Whenever Tinder Wall hits the graveyard, Mortuary intercepts it to place it right back on top of your library where the Citadel can see it again. Meanwhile, Overgrowth Elemental watches the chaos unfold, padding your life total with every iteration to comfortably pay for the Citadel's life-based casting cost while effortlessly generating infinite red mana and triggers.
