How it works

1. Activate Myr Scrapling by sacrificing it.
2. When Myr Scrapling dies, Mortuary and Venerated Stormsinger trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Myr Scrapling from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Venerated Stormsinger trigger, causing you to gain 1 life and each opponent to lose 1 life.
5. Resolve the Myr Scrapling ability.
6. Cast Myr Scrapling from the top of your library by paying 1 life.
7. Repeat.

This ingenious loop turns a tiny automaton into an endless engine of life and death, fueled entirely by the top-deck magic of Bolas's Citadel. By repeatedly sacrificing Myr Scrapling to its own ability, you send it straight to the graveyard where Mortuary instantly catches it and tucks it right back onto the top of your library. From there, Bolas's Citadel lets you recast the little construct for a mere 1 life instead of its usual mana cost, effortlessly keeping the cycle alive. Meanwhile, Venerated Stormsinger sits back and watches the carnage, draining your opponents' life totals and padding your own life bar every single time a creature dies.
