How it works

1. Activate Tinder Wall by sacrificing it.
2. When Tinder Wall dies, Mortuary and Al Bhed Salvagers trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Tinder Wall from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Al Bhed Salvagers trigger, causing you to gain 1 life and target opponent to lose 1 life.
5. Cast Tinder Wall from the top of your library by paying 1 life.
6. Repeat.

This ingenious loop turns a modest wall into an infinite engine by leveraging the top-deck manipulation of Bolas's Citadel. With Bolas's Citadel allowing you to cast Tinder Wall directly from your library, you can circumvent its normal mana cost by paying just 1 life instead, which is easily offset by the life gain from Al Bhed Salvagers. As you repeatedly sacrifice Tinder Wall for red mana, Mortuary ensures the creature immediately returns to the top of your library to repeat the process. Meanwhile, Al Bhed Salvagers triggers on every single death to steadily drain your opponents' life totals into oblivion.
