How it works

1. Activate Sensei's Divining Top's second ability by tapping it, causing you to draw a card and put Sensei's Divining Top from the battlefield onto the top of your library.
2. Cast Sensei's Divining Top from the top of your library by paying 1 life.
3. When Sensei's Divining Top enters the battlefield, Haliya triggers, causing you to gain 1 life.
4. Repeat.

This elegant loop turns Sensei's Divining Top into a self-contained card-drawing engine by leveraging Bolas's Citadel to cast it straight from the top of your library for life instead of mana. Every time the Top re-enters, Haliya, Guided by Light gracefully steps in to replenish that spent life with her life-gain trigger, offsetting the Citadel's cost and keeping your health pool safe. Because the Top naturally replaces itself by drawing a card and putting itself back on top of your library, you can repeat this cycle endlessly to churn through your entire deck, rack up an astronomical storm count, and trigger any number of artifacts entering the battlefield.
