How it works

1. Activate Sorceress Queen by tapping it, causing a creature an opponent controls to have base power and toughness 0/2 until end of turn.
2. The creature dies as a state-based action due to having zero toughness because of Elesh Norn's static effect, triggering Sorceress Queen, untapping Sorceress Queen.
3. Repeat as desired.
4. You may also repeat this loop whenever a creature enters the battlefield under an opponent's control.

This clever control lock turns Sorceress Queen into a lethal executioner by letting Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite permanently shrink any opposing creature down to 0 toughness the moment the Queen targets it. To keep the carnage going, Thornbite Staff equips to the Queen and grants an untap trigger whenever that creature dies, allowing you to repeat the process effortlessly. Because the Staff also provides a tap ability, you can orchestrate a complete board sweep and lock your opponents out of ever keeping a creature on the battlefield.
