How it works

1. Activate Xavier Sal's second ability by tapping it and sacrificing a creature.
2. When the creature dies, Xavier Sal triggers, untapping Xavier Sal.
3. Resolve the Xavier Sal ability from step 1, putting a +1/+1 counter on a creature you control.
4. Animation Module triggers, causing you to pay 1 to create a 1/1 Servo artifact creature token.
5. When the Servo enters the battlefield, Mana Echoes triggers, adding C for each Servo you control.
6. Repeat.
7. Once you have infinite +1/+1 counters among creatures you control, you may instead use Xavier Sal's first ability to get infinite copies of creature tokens you control, and gaining infinite colorless mana due to Mana Echoes.

This intricate loop is masterminded by Xavier Sal, Infested Captain, who wields Thornbite Staff to continuously untap himself each time a creature is sacrificed to fuel his proliferation ability. As Xavier Sal puts +1/+1 counters on your permanents, Animation Module steps in to spin off a 1/1 Servo artifact creature token whenever those counters are placed. Every time that Servo enters the battlefield, Mana Echoes floods your pool with colorless mana based on the growing horde of creatures sharing its type, easily funding the Animation Module's trigger and sustaining the loop indefinitely.
