How it works

1. Activate Wight of the Reliquary by tapping it and sacrificing another creature.
2. When the creature dies, Wight of the Reliquary triggers, and the creature triggers if it was a Dragon Egg.
3. Resolve the Wight of the Reliquary trigger, untapping it.
4. Resolve the Dragon Egg trigger, if applicable, creating a 2/2 Dragon creature token.
5. Resolve the Wight of the Reliquary ability from step 1, causing you to search your library for a land card and put it onto the battlefield tapped.
6. When the land enters the battlefield, Nesting Dragon triggers, creating a 0/2 Dragon Egg creature token.
7. Repeat.

This loop is a masterclass in recursive sacrifice and land-fueled generation, perfectly orchestrated by Thornbite Staff granting its untap trigger to Wight of the Reliquary whenever a creature dies. By sacrificing a creature—such as a token generated by Nesting Dragon—Wight of the Reliquary fetches a land straight from your library to the battlefield. The resulting landfall trigger then gives you a fresh Dragon Egg, ready to be sacrificed to the Wight once more while the Staff untaps it for the next iteration.
