How it works

1. Activate Adarkar Valkyrie by tapping it, targeting another creature you control.
2. Activate Shilgengar by sacrificing the creature targeted in step 1.
3. When the creature dies, Adarkar Valkyrie triggers twice.
4. Resolve the first trigger, untapping Adarkar Valkyrie.
5. Resolve the second trigger, returning the sacrificed creature to the battlefield.
6. Resolve the Shilgengar ability
7. Repeat.

This ingenious loop centers around Adarkar Valkyrie's targeted resurrection ability, which is endlessly fueled by sacrificing that creature to Shilgengar, Sire of Famine to generate Blood tokens. Because Shilgengar's sacrifice triggers Adarkar Valkyrie twice, the resulting death allows the Valkyrie to immediately untap while simultaneously returning the sacrificed creature straight back to the battlefield. Meanwhile, Thornbite Staff can sit equipped on the board, ready to synergize with the relentless cycle of creature deaths and entries.
