How it works

1. Activate Wight of the Reliquary by tapping it and sacrificing another creature.
2. When the creature dies, Wight of the Reliquary triggers, untapping Wight of the Reliquary.
3. Resolve the Wight of the Reliquary ability from step 1, causing you to search your library for a land card and put it onto the battlefield tapped.
4. When the land enters the battlefield, each Scute Swarm you control triggers, creating that many 1/1 Insect creature tokens or that many token copies of Scute Swarm.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop transforms graveyard fuel and equipment into a cascading land-and-token engine. By equipping Thornbite Staff to the Shaman Wight of the Reliquary, you gain the ability to sacrifice a creature—such as one of the fodder bodies—to fetch a land directly from your deck. Every time that sacrificed creature dies, the Staff's triggered ability instantly untaps Wight of the Reliquary, readying it to repeat the process. Meanwhile, the lands entering the battlefield continuously trigger Scute Swarm, flooding your board with an exponentially growing horde of token copies that can instantly be fed right back into the Wight.
