How it works

1. Activate Xu-Ifit by tapping it, returning a creature card from your graveyard to the battlefield.
2. Activate Bartolomé del Presidio by sacrificing the creature returned in step 1.
3. When the creature dies, Xu-Ifit triggers, untapping itself.
4. Resolve the Bartolomé del Presidio ability.
5. Repeat.

This loop turns the recursion of Xu-Ifit, Osteoharmonist into a self-sustaining engine by letting Bartolomé del Presidio immediately sacrifice the returned creature. Every time that sacrifice happens, the death trigger feeds back into Thornbite Staff to untap Xu-Ifit—or alternatively, the Staff's own auto-attach ability can seamlessly catch Xu-Ifit if it enters as a Shaman. Together, these pieces turn a simple graveyard pull into an endless cycle of life, death, and growth for Bartolomé del Presidio.
