How it works

1. Give Pirate Ship deathtouch, if needed.
2. Activate Pirate Ship by tapping it, dealing 1 damage to any creature an opponent controls, and destroying it due to Pirate Ship's deathtouch.
3. When the creature dies, Pirate Ship triggers, untapping Pirate Ship.
4. Repeat from step 2.
5. If the effect giving Pirate Ship deathtouch is a static effect, you may repeat this whenever a creature enters the battlefield under an opponent's control.

By outfitting your Pirate Ship with a Thornbite Staff, you turn the classic nautical vessel into a relentless, repeatable sniper that can lock down the entire board. While Pirate Ship normally relies on controlling an Island and standard tapping to ping targets for a single point of damage, the Staff grants it the crucial triggered ability to untap whenever *any* creature dies. If you pair this mechanical loop with a way to grant deathtouch, every 1-damage ping becomes an instant execution order that immediately refunds your tap, letting you sweep away opposing creatures as fast as they can enter the battlefield.
