How it works

1. Activate Xavier Sal's second ability by tapping it and sacrificing any other creature you control.
2. When the creature dies, Xavier Sal triggers, untapping Xavier Sal.
3. Resolve the Xavier Sal ability from step 1, putting a +1/+1 counter on Scurry Oak.
4. Scurry Oak triggers, creating a 1/1 Squirrel creature token.
5. Repeat.
6. Once you have infinite +1/+1 counters on Scurry Oak, you may instead use Xavier Sal's first ability to get infinite copies of creature tokens you control.

This clever engine harnesses the synergy of Xavier Sal, Infested Captain equipped with Thornbite Staff to turn a single sacrifice into a self-sustaining loop. By sacrificing a creature to fuel Xavier Sal's sacrifice ability, you trigger the Staff to untap him instantly while simultaneously dropping a +1/+1 counter onto Scurry Oak. That counter arrival on Scurry Oak immediately spawns a fresh 1/1 Squirrel token, which can then be sacrificed right back to Xavier Sal to keep the chain going indefinitely.
