How it works

1. Activate the creature by tapping it, dealing damage to an opponent's creature.
2. The opponent's creature dies due to deathtouch, triggering the second ability granted by Thornbite Staff, untapping your creature.
3. Repeat until all opponents' creatures die.
4. Repeat each time a creature enters the battlefield under an opponent's control.

By equipping a creature with both Basilisk Collar and Thornbite Staff, you grant it the deadly combination of deathtouch and a ping ability that automatically untaps the creature whenever anything dies. While Heavy Arbalest isn't strictly necessary for the core loop since Thornbite Staff already grants a tap ability, it pushes the damage output higher when utilized. Because deathtouch turns any amount of damage into a lethal blow, the pinged creature instantly perishes, which immediately triggers the staff to ready your creature for another shot. This creates a ruthless automated firing squad that instantly obliterates every creature your opponents control the moment they dare enter the battlefield.
